Growth Begins Here
Mental health, therapy, and counseling can sometimes entice thoughts of personal failure/shortcomings. At Blume, we believe that entering into a counseling relationship is a sign of wellness. Mental healthcare is essential to healthy living just like exercise, check-ups, and a well-balanced diet. We are honored to walk alongside clients as they encounter seasons of life where they may need to acquire some new tools or ideas to help them navigate relationships, behaviors, thoughts, or decisions. Growth begins at Blume.
Is This Landscape for Me?
Blume Counseling may be for you if:
A relationship in your life feels more difficult than it should.
As a parent/caregiver, you need some more tools to help your child.
Setting healthy boundaries is difficult.
The story of your life currently does not match the story you hope to tell.
Sometimes you feel like an outsider.
Gaining tools to manage anxiety and stress would be helpful.
You are unsure that you can reveal your true self to those you love.
Change feels scary.
Someone has hurt you in the past.
Life feels overwhelming.
An objective listener would be helpful.
A new label/diagnosis/scenario has emerged that you did not anticipate.
Everyone Blumes
Blume Counseling welcomes clients of all cultures, races, nationalities, genders, abilities,
socio-economic levels, faiths, and identities. We want to fully appreciate
each and every individual for who he/she/they/ze are!
Caretakers
Kelly Jones (she/her/hers), LPCA, works with children, adolescents, adults, and families utilizing Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative Therapy lenses, which is a fancy way of saying "what do I keep thinking/doing that isn't helping me obtain the outcome I desire?" and "what do I want my story to say about me?" Kelly loves engaging with clients exactly where they are in life, especially when that point is filled with reflections: What if, Why aren't things working out as planned, Maybe I have made a mistake, I feel stuck, and Where can I go from here? Kelly is a mother of three boys, and an advocate for children with disabilities and their caregivers. If Kelly could be any children's literature character, she would be Rosie Revere.
